Sometimes becoming an entrepreneur happens without you realizing it; maybe you’re simply pursuing a goal, learning more about something you are passionate about, or even taking on a side hustle for a little extra pocket money.
But when you are steadfast, ready, and hungry to make your dreams of becoming an entrepreneur come true, then 1) recognize that this is the path you are choosing to take and 2) act on it.
Better Now Than Never
These are your dreams we are talking about and YOUR dreams that you are considering. Are you willing and wanting to make a difference in the world? Are you extremely passionate about something that you just can’t hold back on?
Well, why would you not act on something so wonderful? Don’t let time pass you by. Life is too short to not chase your dreams.
Attainable & Realistic… even with a full-time job or busy life.
Some would say that being an entrepreneur is a full time commitment, and it can be. But it doesn’t have to start that way, or necessarily end that way either. The goal is to have a plan, and the plan is to be prepared.
What are you great at, and does this greatness match your passion? Once you have your eye on what you would like to pursue, create a full-fledged plan; for some, this looks like a giant calendar with days upon days filled with daily goals. For others, this might be a massive to-do checklist.
Do some digging to feel more comfortable and prepared. Who else is successful in this field or industry? From whom can you ask advice? Learn from others paths and their mistakes, but also learn from their winnings; be humble, hardworking, and dedicated. And soon enough, you will be on your way to making your dreams come true.
Establish a plan, spend time researching, and believe in yourself.
There are others like yourself who have accomplished what you are dreaming of.
Bill Gates, the co-founder of Microsoft, is an entrepreneur, programmer, investor, and philanthropist. Still making his way (dominating) through the tech-industry, Gates started with an idea that sprouted from his own inspirational icon, Henry Edward Roberts. During the fruition of Microsoft, Bill left Harvard in his junior year to further pursue his dreams, and soon became the richest person in the world.
What’s stopping you?
Elon Musk is an infamous entrepreneur and businessman with many creative ideas and aspirations. Musk founded Zip2, X.com, now named PayPal, SpaceX, and Tesla, all before turning 30 years old. It is said that he used to daydream about inventions… so much so that his parents and doctors order a hearing test from a lack of listening. If you ask me, I’d say he has never stopped dreaming or reaching for his fullest potential.
Why should you?
Are you familiar with the show Shark Tank? How much do you know about the Sharks (panelists & investors)? Each of them, are very successful, self-made entrepreneurs: Barbara Corcoran, Mark Cuban, Lori Greiner, Robert Herjavec, Daymond John, and Kevin O’Leary. Kevin for one, started in his parent’s basement with no cash, and is now an influential, billionaire genius in the business world.
No one but you can make this happen for yourself. Allow your dreams to come true, and start chasing the entrepreneur path to success.
In the words of Walt Disney, “if you can dream it, you can do it.”
